Last year we introduced some sustainable yarns in our knitwear collections. We mainly worked with certified recycled polyester.
We originally worked with viscose because the feel is nicer and your skin can actually breathe. We always thought viscose was a must have in a Spring summer collection.
We noticed that our customers were friendlier towards a light natural fabric rather than towards Polyester, even though this would be certified recycled.
Because we promised to engage ourselves a bit more in the green revolution we have been looking at ways of producing more styles that could be certified "Sustainable" and be more natural.
We started to use some more sustainable viscose, called EcoVero™ , made using sustainable wood from controlled sources: Forest Stewardship Council) or PEFC (Program for Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes) certified in Europe, instead of bamboo or eucalyptus, which is commonly used in normal viscose production.
